ORDERING

We currently accept orders for online cakes though online booking only. All orders must be confirmed in writing. Please notify us if you do not receive an order confirmation by emailing cakes@fayecahill.com.au

Cake orders require sufficient notice to be allocated space in our production schedule. Order by Tuesday 5pm for Thursday collection/delivery. Order by Wednesday 5pm for Friday and Saturday collection or delivery. Need it on shorter notice? Call or text 0432983903 to check availability before booking. Cakes ordered without sufficient notice will be cancelled and refunded. Cakes may be ordered up to six months in advance Our collection times are 10am to 5pm Tuesday to Friday and 10am to 1pm on Saturday

Capacity is limited and some weeks book out well in advance. If a notice or banner indicates particular dates are full, we will not accept any further cakes through online ordering as we operate on first in basis. All orders require full payment at the time of ordering. On payment of the order, a confirmation will be emailed. Placing an order represents acceptance of our terms and conditions

It is the clients responsibility to provide full and correct details for the cake including checking spelling, any special notes, full contact details of the purchaser and recipient and full delivery details including available times for delivery

Faye Cahill Cake Design reserves the right to not accept an order at any time

ORDER CHANGES

Changes to orders may be permitted with at least 3 days notice. Order changes may attract a surcharge at our discretion if we have already started production of any element of the cake. Significant changes or additions to the order beyond the stated options on website may not be possible, but if we are able to accommodate requests, additional artwork fees will apply.

Delivery changes should be communicated as early as possible. Within 24 hours major changes may not be possible due to scheduling having been finalised. We will work with you to arrive at a suitable resolution

PRICES AND PAYMENT

Our website prices are in Australian dollars and inclusive of GST. Prices may change without notice. Cakes already booked and paid will not be affected by price increase unless there are exceptional circumstances. In this case the client will be given the option to cancel the order and receive a refund.

Payment is processed online securely through Square payments and we accept Visa, Mastercard and Amex

Merchant fees are non-refundable at any time, this condition is passed on directly from our payment processing company

CANCELLATION

We require one week’s notice to cancel an order. Within 3 days of the pickup or delivery date, no refunds will be given as we have already reserved a spot in our schedule and have incurred production costs. This policy applies regardless of the cancellation reason, however at our discretion we may be able to reschedule the cake to a new date, this will incur a 15% surcharge. Any requests for cancellation or rescheduling should be emailed to cakes@fayecahill.com.au

If you notify us within an hour of placing the order that you would like to cancel by emailing to cakes@fayecahill.com.au we may be able to issue a full refund

We may cancel or decline the order for any reason including scheduling and product being unavailable. We will notify you and refund payment if this is the case

For cancelled orders, any item sourced from an external supplier is non-refundable such as custom toppers or other decor. Clients may collect the item from our store or have it delivered for a fee.

Cancellation for Covid 19, other health issues, natural disasters or lockdowns for any reason- if 24 hours or more notice is given, we can postpone the cake to a later time with a 15% surcharge. Cancellations and postponements with less than 24 hours notice will be at our discretion. Surcharge for postponements should be paid at least a week before the new date.

48 hours before the pickup or delivery date, 100% of the order is non-refundable, postponement will be at our discretion and there may be higher change fees for items such as fresh flowers and work already started.

PICKUP AND DELIVERY

The client agrees to note the pickup and delivery time for the order. We do not send reminders for collection times but will confirm times if requested.

Changes to collection times may be submitted by email to cakes@fayecahill.com.au with at least 48 hours notice. Staff are not able to stay past closing time to accommodate late pickups. For any items not collected we will attempt to contact clients to arrange pickup the following day. Items not collected may be disposed of and no refund will apply

Once the item has been collected, we are not responsible for any damage that occurs after handover during delivery or at a home or venue

Premium Delivery covers areas within 30kms of our studio. For areas outside of this, please contact us for availability and a quote.
For deliveries, it is the client’s responsibility to make sure someone is at the delivery address at the required time to receive the order. Generally for premium deliveries we can deliver within a two hour window, however that may expand to four hours for reasons such as traffic, weather, peak seasons and other circumstances. We will attempt to contact clients when there are delivery delays. For deliveries to venues and businesses, we access via delivery dock where available and deliver to reception or venue room. If available we can unbox the cake and place on cake table or otherwise will leave with staff. For residential addresses we will deliver to door, we may be able to unbox and place cake on table if required. We are responsible for the condition of the cake during transport for our own premium delivery only.

Goods should be inspected on pick up or immediately after delivery is received. It is clients responsibility to notify us immediately on pickup or within 30 minutes of delivery if order is incorrect, incomplete or damaged. Photographic evidence should be emailed to cakes@fayecahill.com.au

For damaged or incorrect orders, we may be able to have the cake returned and repaired or will offer a part or full refund

If no-one is available to receive the order, the box will be left near the doorstep and we are not responsible for any damage, theft or deterioration of the item due to storage in incorrect conditions. After pickup or drop-off of the cake, we are not responsible for any damage due to incorrect storage

The transport and storage requirements for our cakes are-

Cakes should be transported and stored at room temperature, even when the event is the day after pickup or delivery. If refrigeration is required due to longer storage time, we will instruct you on how to do this, generally box should be sealed before refrigeration and then bought back to room temperature before unsealing box

Cakes should be transported and stored on a level surface, air conditioning is preferable in warmer weather and essential for hot weather. Cakes should never sit in direct sunlight at any time during transport, storage or presentation. Care should be taken not to jolt or tilt the cake. It is preferable for cakes to travel with the box sitting on a non-slip surface or a piece of non-slip mat. We do not provide this except for our own deliveries. Surfaces such as the floor of car are preferable to a seat that may slope. The boot can be fine in cooler weather and if non-slip mat is used.

Cakes should be consumed within 48 hours of pickup or deliveries. Leftovers may be consumed for up to a week if refrigerated or two months if frozen after the event.

FORCE MAJEUR

Faye Cahill Cake Design will not be held liable where a failure to create and/or deliver a cake or delay occurs due to circumstances out of our control including but not limited to -weather conditions, fire, flood, explosion, accident, traffic congestion and road closure or obstruction, riot, protest, strike, industrial dispute, pandemic, act of government, act of war, act of terror, act of god or lockdowns

CREATIVE LICENCE DISCLAIMER

Photos are for illustration purposes only. Cakes are handmade items and each one will be different. Flowers will be chosen from seasonal and available blooms and we will do our best to accommodate colour requests. All special requests must be approved by Faye Cahill Cake Design and we reserve the right to make final artistic decisions regarding the appearance of the cake, decoration items used or not used, colouring, size and proportion as well as flavour or flavour combinations

Clients understand that cakes may appear different to photos due to difference in screen display and colour matching requests may not be exact. Printed items may vary in quality and colour due to available technology.

When decorations are used, these may be substituted by items of equal or greater value where necessary without notice

In the unlikely event of supply issues or other constraints, we reserve the right to change details such as size and flavour, this is more likely for last minute orders, so please book as early as possible. We will attempt to contact client to communicate issues, if we don’t receive a reply we will go ahead with changes needed

Cakes will be photographed and these photographs may be used for promotional purposes

ALLERGENS AND DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

All of our cakes may contain ingredients or traces of allergens including but not limited to nuts, wheat, dairy, egg, chocolate, soy, preservatives and food colours. Cakes baked without a specific ingredient may still contain traces as we use these ingredients in our kitchen

Inedible items may be used as decorations and it is the customers responsibility to remove these before serving

Where allergy friendly and dietary cakes are available, it may affect the appearance, size and stability of the cake
